I'M A FRAUD... AREN'T I?
Elin used to be a medium. She could tell the future with the memories you tell her. At least thatβs what the posters say.
ββββββββββββ
There is a woman that Elin admires. This painting of a woman beckons to Elin; she tells Elin of a low blue moon that understands, & the pale light of the shallow grave. The woman whispers to Elin of a great painting to create, in exchanging her memories. But the painting has no need for ordinary memories.
ββββββββββββ
Human corpses always give memories, but only the first taste. These fleeting memories were not even enough to muster a smile or a tear. However, they are plentiful. The bones are brittle. It makes for good practice. Elin likes to nibble on the eyes.
ββββββββββββ
In abandoned catacombs, bleeding spirits, and even in decaying health, there are memories. They remain in the remnants of something that once walked the planes of the Earth, now faded into nothing. Remnants manifest in skulls, bones, blood, books, skin, wounds, & the unfathomable. They are useful to Elin.
ββββββββββββ
Some of the remnants are sour. Some are tough. Many get stuck down her throat like tar. Elin choked the first time, shoving it down to the pits of her stomach. It gets easier by the mouthful.
ββββββββββββ
The memories from remnants are glorious, furious, endless, luxurious, liminal, honeyed, splendid, & golden. The woman tells Elin she must paint with those memories. So Elin does.
ββββββββββββ
But Elin is still searching, tasting... & painting. She is still missing the last memory.

NAME (BUREAU ID): The Patron
OCCUPATION: Previously the curator for the Jonas B. Munch Gallery.
SUMMONING REASON: Summoned by telegram.
CONFIRMATIONS: None. Explained suspectβs motives.
RELATIONSHIP TO SUSPECT: Previous business partner.
CLAIMS:
The suspect was a self-made stage Medium before ultimately being let go for weak performances
Suspect visited an art museum frequently after losing her job, stopping by a certain painting of a woman. She would stay for hours to gaze at the painting.
Eventually, the suspect asked to purchase the painting.
The suspect never returned to the gallery.

The Patron describes the painting is named Miss Naenia. The genuine painting has βJonas B. Munch, 1811β signed on the back and front.
please note: The Patron was last heard to be fired from their position after our interrogation. There is no information where to contact them for further questioning.
NAME (BUREAU ID): The Familiar
OCCUPATION: Previously senior office worker at Glover & Glover
SUMMONING REASON: Came to the Bureau of their own free will.
CONFIRMATIONS: Involved in murder and grave robbing.
RELATIONSHIP TO SUSPECT: Ex-lover. Self-claimed. Previous occult member.
CLAIMS:
Suspect would talk to the painting, Miss Naenia, frequently, and hear her voice.
Suspect began to heed the paintingβs advice and gathering resources.
The Familiar believes that the suspect wanted to immortalize herself in a painting, and that Miss Naenia was helping.
Suspect gained notes on how to create the Elixir Zeboim, an elixir to help those who consume it gain memories and visions on how to achieve their goal.
Suspect asked The Familiar to help attain the ingredients for the Elixer Zeboim, including a human corpse as its main ingredient.
The Familiar murdered an innocent bystander, Kassandra Himms, and brought the corpse to the suspect.
Suspect concocted and consumed the Elixir Zeboim, then appeared to βgainβ memories from the Elixir.
The Familiar ended their romantic relationship after realizing the suspectβs supposed goal of immortality did not include them.
The Familiar brought a photograph as supposed proof of the suspectβs crimes. Copy of The Familiarβs photograph:

The Familiar describes this photograph as the moment after the suspect consumed the Elixir Zeboim, taken in late September. Unknown location.
please note: After interrogation, The Familiar was then immediately detained for life for their individual crimes, and further crimes of associating with the occult and assisting the suspect. They will have no date of release.
further note: The Familiar was found to have committed suicide while detained. They are no longer available for further questioning.
NAME (BUREAU ID): The Survivor
OCCUPATION: None; cult member.
SUMMONING REASON: Detained under suspicion of association.
CONFIRMATIONS: Involvement in the occult, summoning, and trespassing.
RELATIONSHIP TO SUSPECT: Previous occult member.
CLAIMS:
Suspect is the leader of a cult named the Towers of the Dove.
Suspect often required cult members to rob graves for their corpses. It is noted that The Survivor does not know what the suspect does with these corpses, but always comes back looking refreshed after receiving them, and never noticed where the corpses went afterwards.
Suspect organized raids into abandoned or lost locations for its loot and spirits.
Suspect was working on a large canvas, presumably a painting. The Survivor does not know what the suspect meant to paint.
Believed the suspect used materials gathered from raids to paint, but not confirmed.
The Survivor has seen the suspect take the materials, and turn them into more Elixirs. The painting, however, did appear more complete after each raid.
Suspect performed rituals to summon spirits. The Survivor describes one called the βMaid-in-the-Mirrorβ that was used to murder Detective Douglas.
The Survivor was asked to thoroughly describe the summoned spirit. Artist rendition for The Survivorβs description of the Maid-in-the-Mirror:

The spirit is described to be summoned by the suspect to be used as a temporary minion, or sent out to dispose of distractions.
please note: The Survivor is to be detained at the Bureau indefinitely with no date of release. Held in cell 28C. They are available for further questioning.
